Welch & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Patti VP" shelf or mantel clock, rosewood and rosewood veneer case with glazed front and sides, turned columns with applied roundels, and top with central keystone and turned finials, roman numeral white painted dial with blued steel trefoil hands, and 8 day time and strike movement having a polished bronze pendulum with decorative pressed glass insert

Welch Patti No. 1 Shelf Clock. Original 4.5 in. dial with black Roman hour numerals blued pierced trefoil hands. Has an early brass 8 day spring driven Patti movement with crossed  X  in the front and back plates, count wheel strike mechanism, strikes on a steel bell mounted to the movement; has a fancy Patti pendulum with glass insert. Quality rosewood case with turned finials, rosettes and corner columns, original E.N Welch Patti label on the back, in good running condition, excellent original finish. 18.75 in. high x 12.25 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Welch Patti V.P. Mantel Clock, Rosewood & Veneer: 8 day bell striking movement. It has a 5″ metal dial and Welch pressed glass pendulum. There is a partial label on the case.
(Running, but not striking. The interior bottom of the case is scarred up some.)

Has an early brass time and strike Patti movement, 8 day, spring driven with crossed  X  in the front and back plates, count wheel strike mechanism, strikes on a steel bell and alarm strikes on the same bell with its spring contained within; has a fancy Patti pendulum with glass insert. Quality rosewood case with turned finials, rosettes and corner columns, original black E.N Welch Patti V.P. label on the back, in good running condition. 18.5 in. high

There are no condition problems with the case.
(The clock does not have the correct movement in it. The clock runs for a few minutes and then stops. It strikes on the 1/2 hour only.)
