The circular enamel dial indistinctly signed with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the twin train movement striking on a bell.

French Figural Marble & Bronze Mantle Clock. Gilt bronze seated figure of a philosopher with a pen and a basket of paper scrolls, black marble clock tower with arched top, black marble base with green marble inset panels on the front and sides with gilt bronze mounts and trim. 4 in. porcelain dial with open moon hands; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres & ÂRollin a ParisÂ, has a half hour strike on a bell. Black marble has a few breaks and repairs, front feet are broken off but we do have them, no hairlines in the dial. 17 in. high x 21.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

Large bronze figure of a woman, Pandora, seated on a plinth with lionÂs head on the side, she wears a loose dress and an open box lays beside her; on a dark brown polished marble base with bronze mounts and feet, unsigned. 5.5 in. black marble dial with gilt incised Roman hour numerals, gilt brass center and brass hands; large round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂS. Marti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell, in running condition, has key and pendulum, case is in excellent condition, missing rear door. 25.5 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9 in. deep. A late 18th century French Bronze and Marble mantel clock. 8-day time and strike movement with a painted porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and Gilded filigree hands. Bronze case with Ribbon and foliate design, marble finial and base. Painted surface with some wear, dial damage at regulation arbor, running when cataloged. 16 " high. ESTIMATE $300-400

Beautiful desk clock in the form of a large bell; silvered bronze bell with studded oak yoke and gilt bronze frame; on a rouge marble base, bell is engraved Âvae mihi si non evangelisavero (Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel). Centered in the front of the bell is a 3 in. silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals; typical round French brass spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres & CieÂ, lever platform escapement is running and has an half hour strike on a gong. 15 in. high x 11.25 in. wide x 8.25 in. deep. The French mantle clock has a classical bronze figure of a man on top wearing draping garments and holding a lyre in this left hand; he sits atop a black marble base with motifs having medallions with women heads. The dial has gilt Roman hour numerals, hands and bezel. French 8 day time & strike brass movement. The clock has damage on the base. Dimensions: 19.5 in. high x 19 in. wide x 7 in. deep.
