Welch Ripple Case Beehive Clock, Circa 1860, 6″ professionally repainted dial, 8-day, brass spring driven movement with alarm, rosewood case having piecrust ripple molding, reverse stencil door features heraldic crest, listed in “The American Clock” by Diston & Bishop on page 343, excellent overall condition, professionally repainted dial, movement complete and in fine working order. Height 18 3/4″.

A mid 19th century J. C. Brown, Forestville, Conn., Ripple front, Beehive clock. 30-hr Brass, spring driven time & strike movement with painted metal dial. Rosewood case with applied Ripple moldings, and a single conforming door with reverse painted lower glass. Older finish with some wear, minor case repair, replaced dial, running when cataloged. 15 1/2″ high.
