20th Century Gilt Carved Cartel Clock. Beautiful gilt carved Rococo filigree cartel style wall hanging case signed on the back with initials ÂL.J. and dated 1944. Has a 7 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers outside and fancy gilt pierced hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement, unsigned, has an hour strike on a brass bell and a brass pendulum. In good overall condition, case has some flaking to the gilt. 28.5 in. high x 15 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

A 20th century giltwood cartel style wall clock. Having a 6.5″ (16.5cm) convex cream dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes named to ‘Emil N Skalin, Stockholm’, the Junghans movement striking on a bell with skeletonised back plate and four spoke wheelwork, the case with flowers, leaves and ribbon to surmount over further similar motifs flanking convex glazed bezel and beaded surround on a cushion base with acorn terminal. 20.5″ (52cm) high.

A 19th century cast gilt bronze cartel clock. Having a 4.5″ convex dial with blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes, the two-train bell-striking movement with Samuel Marti exhibition stamp, numbered 451 and stamped H & F Paris, outside countwheel striking, the case with chased foliate scrollwork and flowerhead decoration framing a lattice grille beneath the convex-glazed dial, 18.5″, (47cm) high.

French Gilt Brass Hanging Cartel Clock. 5 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, blued 5 minute numbers outside, fancy gilt pierced hands and rope-twist door bezel with beveled crystal; French round brass spring driven movement has an half hour countwheel strike mechanism with bell, marked Paris. In a gilt brass case with allover pierced filigree design, has a repair to the finial on the rear plate. 23.75 in. high x 9 in. wide x 4 in. deep.
