American Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn. Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Circa 1825, 12″ excellent hand painted dial, 30-hour, wood works movement, retains most original glue blocks on case, label reads “Patent clocks made & sold by Seth Thomas warranted if well used  “, with minor repairs this would be a very nice pillar & scroll clock, refinished repair to original top, lower tablet redone on old glass, good original base. Height 30 1/2”.

Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1825. Mahogany scroll top case with painted wood dial, raised gilt decoration and two heehives below the center, reverse painted lower glass of country house with stenciled border (small crack in upper right corner), very nice label “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry. Made and Sold at Plymouth, Connecticut by Seth Thomas”. 30 hour wooden works weight driven clock, key wind, pendulum. Measures approx. 29″ tall x 17 1/4″ wide x 5″ deep.

Seth Thomas Off Center Pillar & Scroll. Mahogany case, repair to one scroll tip, old refinish; original finials. Original reverse painted tablet with some touch up. 30 hour time & strike weight driven wood works movement. Inside/outside escapement. Good clean label. Replaced, restored dial. Ht. 31″.

Seth Thomas Cambridge Pillar & Scroll Clock. Painted metal dial has a 7.5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and gilt corner pieces, black spade hands, dial signed Seth Thomas; 8 day brass spring driven movement has count wheel half hour strike, blued coiled gong on gilt brass spiral mount and has a brass covered pendulum bob, dial signed with Seth Thomas trade mark. In a mahogany pillar & scroll case, has a broken arch crest, heavy brass finials, turned side columns and valanced feet; original reverse painted lower tablet has some minor paint flaking. 24.5 in. high x 14 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Original Label Of Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Conn., This Wooden Works Pillar & Scroll Clock Dates To Around 1820-35, Original Case Finish, One Early Repair To Top Right Broken Arch, Floral Painted Wooden Face, 29 Tall by 17 1/2 Wide, There Appears To Be Some Tiger Maple As A Trim, Ivory Escutcheon Missing In Door Now Replaced w/Old Knob, Both Glasses Appear To Be Original, Finials Missing, Feet Seem To Be Original, Time & Strike Mechanism, This Is One Fine Early Clock
