French Louis XV style eight day, time and strike pendulum mantle clock in champleve enamel and gilt-bronze case, decorated with meandering flowers and leafage on burgundy and royal blue ground. The white porcelain dial has a central champleve enamel medallion surrounded by Roman numerals. 14″ high. 5″ wide. 4.25″ deep. Circa late 19th century. 1983 Appraisal $2,500. Note: All of the 8-day clocks were professionally restored and/or repaired, and then carefully stored by the consignor. They all worked when stored and are complete. French Louis XV style eight-day time and strike pendulum mantle clock with hand-painted porcelain case mounted with ormalu and surmounted with a scroll finial. The bezel is surrounded with clear brilliants; the hand-painted dial has Arabic numerals. 13″ high. 7″ wide. 4.25″ deep. Case is signed: Roche. Circa late 19th century. 1983 Appraisal $900.
