French Figural Bronze Silk Thread Mantle Clock. The dore bronze figure of a youthful Amour is seated on a pedestal stealing time; the pedestal has a fluted column draped with a strand of garland containing roses and leaves. The large figure is holding the clock up from a ribbon tied into a bow; has a 4 in. enameled dial signed Monbro Aine – A. Paris. Has a round brass silk thread movement with count wheel strike mechanism and bell, In very good overall condition, running, striking; 21 in. high. Weight: 34.25 lbs.

Black marble case with chamfered front corners, dore bronze figure of an French painter seated on a boulder, he holds a pallet in one hand and a box of paints at his feet, case is highlighted with dore bronze corner mounts, bezel, base trim and shield style feet. 3.5 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, gilt pierced lyre shaped hands; typical French round brass 8 day spring driven silk thread suspension movement signed ÂJapy Freres & ÂEtabt. Bazelaire, De ParisÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell. In good condition and running; case is clean and in beautiful original condition. 19 in. high x 11 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

French Figural Silk Thread Bronze Mantle Clock. The case depicts the classic winged figure of Amour in a medium dark brown patina, he is standing beside a pedestal, draped with a robe, holding a shield which reads Amour et Gloire (Love & Glory), behind the shield is a helmet with a pair of doves representing the theme of love; has a turned bronze finial over a green marble platform with wreath mounts and a bronze base with turned feet, beautiful dore finish. 4.5 in. Convex porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals and Arabic 15 minute markers, hairline at 12 OÂclock and blued open moon hands; early, round, brass, silk thread movement has half hour count wheel strike mechanism with a steel bell. In very good condition with a clean finish, no breaks or repairs, movement is running. 16.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
