Thomas Mudge Lantern Clock w/Fusee Movement: the 6 1/4″ ring dial is silver color. The inner brass plate is floral engraved. Above are 2 dolphins. The hands are steel. Mudge was a clock maker in 18th century England.
(Runs sporatically, some metal need cleaned.)

Thomas Mudge Brass Lantern Clock. Single chain fusee movement with bell on top and doors on all sides but the front. Floral decorated and signed dial. Mudge worked in England during the mid and late 18th century. This style of clock was going out of fashion in the mid 18th century. Clock is running at this time.

Condition:
The fascinating skeleton clock is in a good age-related condition with minor signs of age and wear. In places slight surface abrasions and tiny scratches can be seen. Scattered traces of flash rust can be found. During in house testing, the timepiece was fully functional; no guarantee on long term precision and regularity. Large Lantern Clock w/Time & Strike Double Fusee: with E. White-20 Cockspur St, London on its back plate. Time and strike double fuss movement. 8 1/4″ dial with floral engraving and a large bell on top.
Winds okay and runs at this time. (The engraving on the side doors and upper side was done recently.)
