A rare and important gold leaf and reverse painted cased wall octagon shaped and reverse painted masked regulator labeled inside: “Manufactured and sold by Silas B. Terry, Terryville, Conn” with a weight driven timepiece movement.

Eli Terry Drop Wall Regulator. 12 inch repainted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, brass 8 day weight driven movement with long wood pendulum stick, brass covered bob, brass pulley and an iron weight. In a rosewood long drop keyhole style case with rounded door bezel and reverse painted gilt and black lower tablet. In good condition with and enhanced original finish, original tablet has original paint which is overpainted with black, case is missing weight baffle. c.1830. 42 in. high x 18 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
