Henry Hart Column and Splat Shelf Clock, Goshen, CT, c. 1830’s, stenciled half columns and splat, hand painted dial, mirrored lower glass, stencils feature fruit baskets on splat, raised gilt paint on dial, label “Improved Clock, Manufactured by Henry Hart, Goshen, Conn.”. Wooden works, weight driven, rare clock from Goshen Connecticut clock maker. Measures approx. 29 1/2″ tall x 15″ wide x 5″ deep.

Eli Terry, Jr. stenciled column and splat shelf clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, ca. 1840s. Stenciled columns and splat with reverse painted and stenciled lower glass tablet. Wooden works, weight driven, with hand painted dial, claw feet (some loss on feet). Very nice label, “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold in Plymouth, Connecticut by Eli Terry, Jun’r.”. Measures approx. 28 1/2″ tall x 17″ wide x 4″ deep. Many Eli Terry Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.

Stenciled half columns and splat with fruit bowl, hand painted dial with raised gilt, reverse painted glass tablet with heart-shaped apeture, claw feet, nice label with American Eagle “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold at Plymouth, Connecticut by Henry Terry”. 30 hour wooden works weight driven shelf clock. Measures approx. 30″ high x 18″ wide x 5″ deep.

Alpha Hart Splat & Column Mantle Clock. Painted wood dial has a 9 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, floral painted spandrels, gilt wreath center and open hands; wooden works movement with count wheel strike mechanism, iron bell, brass covered pendulum bob and conical iron weights. Mahogany case has an ebony crest with gilt stenciled fruit basket & turned half columns over acanthus paw feet; original reverse painted scenic tablet with building, has minor flaking within the bell tower of the building. 27 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Henry Terry & Co. Column Shelf Clock: wood works, weight driven with gong strike, 10″ wood dial, partial interior label and original glass panes. The case is mahogany and veneer.
(The dial is held with non original screw and the center hole is enlarged. The door knob is not original and its lower right corner has a small bit of damage. The upper corners of it have a bit of repair. No key.)
