V.A. Jovart Fils French Bronze Silk String Clock

French Bronze & Marble Silk String Clock: the time and half hour bell striking movement is marked VA Jovart Fils Chaumont-Paris and Douillon 427. The silver dial is 3 1/2″ wide; the case is topped with a Shakespearean figure, below that is tan marble walls with a knight’s head, scroll and leaf designs. The clock has no pendulum, but winds ok and fast tick without a pendulum. More than likely to be working just fine.
(The uppermost marble piece, on the back is fractured; some of the metal finish on the figure is worn.)

French Bronze & Marble Clock w/Silk String: the time with bell striking movement is numbered 7-2 over 403 and has a 4″ silver dial. The case is topped with a Roman soldier with sword. The case has applied marble panels around it.
(The dial has darkened. The back legs are weak; a back piece of marble is partly gone; there are other cracks and chips scattered about.)

French Silk String Marble w/ Figure Clock: 8 day time with half hour bell striking movement; unmarked. It has a 4″ silvered dial with some scuff marks. The tan marble case has bronze trim with seated figure of a Roman style person with pen in one hand and something missing from the other. The clock is running and striking
(The time and strike is reversed; the marble has a bit of minor damage & repair. the seated figure on top is missing a scroll or other material to write on from his left hand; case’s rear foot missing.)

French Marble & Bronze Column Silk String Clock: it has a time with half hour bell striking movement and is unmarked. The 4 1/2 porcelain dial is marked Girard a’ Paris. The white marble frame has applied bronze decoration. The pendulum ball has nesting birds at feeding time.
(The hammer is missing. The marble has a scattering of small corner and edge chips.)

French Dore & Marble Silk String Calendar Clock: the time with half hour bell striking movement is not marked in any way. The 5 1/4″ porcelain dial has numbers for hours and minutes; in red for days of the month and it has the name Kinable in blue on it. The case has a man, woman and whippet figures. The lower case has female masks and scenes of cherubs at play. The clock will run and strike, it did it on the fast tick, minus a pendulum.
(Has some edge chips by screws and a chip at the strike key slot. The front lowest marble has a button chip; a large piece of marble on the lower back is chipped out.)
