The large bronze case has gilt brass trimmings with a piston cylinder on top and a lever leading over to a platform on the left side, between the legs of the frame is an anvil and hammer which rocks up and down forming the visible portion of the complex pendulum. Has a round French brass movement signed GLT Paris (Guilmet) and numbered 377; movement has a steel pin pallet escapement and strikes on a steel bell. In very good condition, silvered dial has a good patina. 18 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep. Weight: 19.25 lbs.

Accompanied by a pair of 2 arm candleholders with similar shaped cases simulating a roller press. In good condition, 10.5 in. high.

The case done in bronze with gilt brass trim in the form of an industrial steam hammer with piston cylinder at top .Having rectangular dial with Roman numerals and pierced breguet hands. Between the legs of the case frame is a silvered anvil and hammer which rocks up and down forming the visible portion of the complex pendulum. Has a round French brass movement with steel pin pallet escapement and strikes on a steel bell. Movement backplate stamped ‘Medaille d’or GLT Btf SGDG Paris’ along with an indecipherable mark which is probably Japy Freres. 17.5″h x 12″w x 5.5″d.
