Intricate Bronze case in the Louis XVI manner with winged putti torches with Dragon supports and reticulated panels on an open footed base. Some finish wear, running when cataloged. 36″ high.

French Figural Bronze Mantle Clock. 3 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and bronze bezel, small chip next to the strike arbor hole; typical round French brass movement has a countwheel strike mechanism with brass bell, movement signed Lons. The bronze case has a figural top with seated woman holding a tambourine looking up lovingly at the man seated beside her, his right arm is around her shoulder, he holds a sickle in his left hand and a woven back pack filled with grapes is on the ground beside him. 19 in. high x 14 in. wide x 6 in. deep

French Marble & Bronze Mantle Clock. On the case is a figural muse, a woman seated on an ottoman, she holds a wreath in one hand and a torch in the other, has a medium brown patina with green highlights; a black marble base with dore bronze mounts, winged cherubs on the corners, hanging strands of fruit, maidens head and scrolled shield feet. 3.5 in. dial with black roman numerals and open club hands. French Empire Silk Thread Figural Bronze Cupid Clock. Gilt bronze of a figural standing winged cupid beside a whetstone grinding wheel, he smiles as he sharpens the arrow of love; the clock is contained in the body below with French Empire period designed tables on either side, one with a jug and cup, the other with a basket of flowers, the scene in the arched panel of the base depicts a dog seated on a rock and watching cupid string his bow. 4 in. porcelain dial has black hour numerals and blued open moon hands; brass spring driven 8 day movement has a silk thread suspension and half hour strike on a bell. In very good condition, beautiful finish, no breaks or repairs, tip of the arrow is missing. 18 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Gilt bronze seated figure of a philosopher with a pen and a basket of paper scrolls, black marble clock tower with arched top, black marble base with green marble inset panels on the front and sides with gilt bronze mounts and trim. 4 in. porcelain dial with open moon hands; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres & ÂRollin a ParisÂ, has a half hour strike on a bell. Black marble has a few breaks and repairs, front feet are broken off but we do have them, no hairlines in the dial. 17 in. high x 21.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

French Figural Bronze Clock Set. 3.5 in. black painted metal dial with black incised Roman hour numerals, gold spade hands and beaded door bezel; typical round brass spring driven 8 day French movement is signed Japy Freres, has an half hour bell strike. Bronze case has a figural sculpture on top with seated figure of a woman playing a harp with sheet music in her hand and a young child standing beside her, the base has a splayed form with figural maidens heads on either side of the dial. With a matching pair of bronze side urns having double loop handles and relief decorated putti and maiden design wrapped around the bowl. In good overall condition with no breaks or repairs, urns are missing covers, 13 in. high. Clock measures 21 in. high x 14 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
