Eli Terry Patent Pillar & Scroll Clock: mahogany with 30 hour wood works. Made and sold by Solomon Stow. Good interior labels. Time and bell striking, weight driven movement. No.2A1.14. Wood dial looks original. Lower glass painted by Moberg. Circa 1820-30.

Eli Terry Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1825, scroll top case, freestanding turned columns, beautiful hand painted dial with flowers and raised gilt corners, reverse painted tablet, label, “Patent Clocks, made and sold at Plyouth, Connecticut by Eli Terry, Inventor and Patentee”, has hand written name and date (1858) written on label. Wooden works, weight driven, key wind, with pendulum. Measures approx. 31″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
