Mahogany No. 89 Wall Regulator by E. Howard & Company, Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1910, the full length glazed door opens to reveal the 12-in. dial with Roman numerals and marked E. Howard & Co. Boston, eight-day movement with dead-beat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop, and second’s beat pendulum with silver leaf rod and damascened nickel pendulum bob powered by a cast lead weight descending behind a mahogany baffle, ht. 60 in.

Condition: Dial cleaned and relined, no other condition issues, original pendulum, weight and hands.

E. Howard No. 89 Regulator. 16 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, sub-seconds dial & black spade hands, dial is signed E. Howard & Co. Boston and has a wood bezel; dial has extra holes at 6 & 12. Quality brass weight driven movement signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has graham deadbeat escapement, Geneva stop, retaining power, iron weight, etched and silvered pendulum bob with wood stick and lock-down hardware. In a large refinished walnut case with arched glass door and turned finials and teardrop finials; the case has extra holes in the backboard where it previously contained watchmans mechanisms or master clock mechanisms. 73 in. high x 26 in. wide x 11 in. deep
