AN ANSONIA ‘SYMBOL’ NICKEL PLATED CRYSTAL REGULATOR

Description

An interesting taller, narrower crystal regulator with other unusual features like a nickel plated case, Bakelite or composition dial number chapter, gold metal spandrels above the dial, gold bezel with embossed designs around the dial, an ornate pendulum with engraved mercury glass bob, nickel beat plate and nickel plated iron horseshoe shape gong hanger. Eight day time and strike on the Cathedral gong each hour. Measures 10.75 x 7 x 5.75 inches.

Condition

very good running condition, noting that there has been a repair where the gong hanger stand joins the vertical shaft. We cannot guarantee the running condition of timepieces post sale following movement and shipping.
