19c Victorian Gilbert Mantle Alarm Clock 19th Century Victorian American Neoclassical Gilbert alarm mantle clock, “Stella” with the original paper label in the back of the ebonized and chased engraved and relief bronze grape vine and leaf adorned case, with the brick and fretwork adorned glass viewing panel, with a gilt bronze chapter ring, ebony tone dial, Roman numeral hour designations, Arabic numeral alarm setting dial, pear shaped hands, gilt brass grape leaf adorned pendulum bearing a December 11, 1877 patent date, and come with a key. SIZE: 16 inches height x 11 inches width x 5 inches depth. CONDITION: The clock keeps great time, gongs on the hour and bell rings when the alarm goes off. It is in excellent working condition with minor normal case wear.
