Attr: Birge & Filler Detached Fusee Double Steeple Mantle Clock. 5 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and black painted copper hands (replaced); brass spring driven movement has detached double fusee mechanism below, hour strike on a single bell, unsigned. In a rosewood double steeple case with 2 long turned spire columns on either side over carved corbels, reverse painted door glass and lower tablet. Overcoated finish, missing feet, reverse painted glasses and dial are replaced, has some veneer flaking, loss and repair, repair to the crutch, unsigned. 25 in. high x 13.75 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Reproduction Double Steeple Shelf Clock. Painted metal dial has a 3 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, spade hour hand and pointer minute hand; brass double fusee spring driven movement with turned wood fusee cones, one hour count wheel strike mechanism with coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob. Mahogany steeple style case has turned double spires on either side, triple decker design with reverse frosted and painted lower door glasses and stands on turned feet. In very good condition, minor chips at the tips of the spire posts. 26 in. high x 13.75 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Boardman & Wells Double Fusee Steeple Clock. Painted metal dial has a raised 5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and black hands, has a brass double fusee movement with tombstone cutouts in the plates, countwheel strike mechanism with coiled gong and brass pendulum bob. Fusee cone for the strike mechanism is replaced, movement is signed C. Boardman, Bristol, Conn, U.S.A. Rosewood steeple case has conical turned finials and reverse painted tablet with filigree and birds, green paper label in the back of the case signed G. Boardman and by J. A. Wells; original finish, has some minor veneer losses and chipping to the dial around the edges. 20 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
