Horner, has a serpentine form with broken arch crest, winged griffins and swirling leaves on the bonnet, carved lions heads on the corners of the body, with a figural putti on the base and claw feet. Durfee Providence, RI. Quality, brass, weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement and strikes on 9 tubes signed Walter H. Durfee & Company; 3 quality brass weights & pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. Carved oak case has a arched pediment crest with leaf and griffin carvings and serpentine sides on the bonnet, has a serpentine body with leaf, scroll and griffin carvings, beveled door glass and a bulbous base with figural putti and claw feet. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with engraved decoration, applied gilt brass hour numbers, gilt pierced brass filigree center and corner spandrels, sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch and scenic painted moon phase disc; levers for Silent/Hour Strike, Silent/Strike & Westminster/Trinity/Whittington. Quality brass weight driven 8 day movement with the trademark for Bawo and Dotter of New York City; has a recoil escapement, maintaining power, quality brass weights and pulleys. In a carved mahogany case with arched crest, filigree carved with 2 winged griffins, turned side columns and full standing figures of Chronos ÂFather TimeÂ; the body has large figural maidens busts on the corners with beveled glasses on the door and sides, the base has full standing winged griffins on the corners with filigree and a center carved medallion with a scene of a sailing ship, stands on scrolled feet. Beautiful mahogany Grandfather Clock, dial signed Tiffany & Co., movement attributed to Elliott. 2 weight driven clock with carved top, gold eagle with olive branch and earn finial, 2 brass finials flanking top. Ornate hand painted clock face with knights in gold gilt. Ornate open hands with 2 additional dials (second and day), revolving moon phase dial, clock face is signed Tiffany & Co., beveled glass door, 2 weights, and pendulum. Clock is in working order and measures approx. 94″ high.
