American. 1910s. Hardwood veneer, inlaid. Featuring a patented Sonora chime mechanism with a nest of eight bells. Includes chime and silent lever. Can be wound on the side. Tag pinned to the back, "Sonora Patents Pending Chimes." Tag on inside. Back of case stamped, "F10". Original finish. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 16.25"H X 13"W X 8.75"D.

Sonora Chime Mahogany Bracket Clock. Mahogany case has an arched top, inlaid borders, turned and fluted corner columns with brass capitols and lower panel with seashell inlay and quarter fan inlays in a nice original finish. 8 in. silvered dial incised hour numbers, fancy blued pierced hands, silvered door bezel with convex glass and signed Sonora on the front; brass spring driven movement is signed Sonora Chime Company, has an hour coiled gong strike. Separate spring driven chime mechanism in the base winds from the right side of the case and strikes a toned Sonora chime 12 tunes on 10 cupped bells playing from a 7.75 in. long silvered cylinder. Has beautiful sound, case is missing corner finials. 19 in. high x 13 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
