American Silas Hoadley Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Circa 1830, 10″ wood dial, painted Masonic design, 30-hour, wood movement, mahogany & mahogany veneer case, dial features unusual Masonic design, reverse painted tablet with eglomise border, label has “Hoadly” instead of the correct spelling “Hoadley”, excellent condition, old refinish, replaced finials, paint loss to reverse painting, very good working with normal wear. Height 31″.

American Silas Hoadley, Plymouth Conn “Franklin Clock”, Circa 1830, 10″ excellent gilt & hand painted wood, 30-hour, rare “upside down” wood works alarm clock movement, original lower reverse painted tablet reads “Time is Money”, a favorite saying of Ben Franklin, Hoadley called these “Franklin Clocks”, center glazed replaced, a few minor veneer losses, movement complete and seems to run fine. Height 35 1/2″.

American Wadsworth Lounsbury & Turners Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Circa 1830, 12″ gilt & hand painted wood dial, 30-hour, wood works movement, overall good original, but needing some TLC, original reverse glass painted tablet 20 percent flaked & unrestored, upper glass replaced, retains most of the original glue blocks on case. Height 31 1/2″.

Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Circa 1825, 12″ excellent hand painted dial, 30-hour, wood works movement, retains most original glue blocks on case, label reads “Patent clocks made & sold by Seth Thomas warranted if well used  “, with minor repairs this would be a very nice pillar & scroll clock, refinished repair to original top, lower tablet redone on old glass, good original base. Height 30 1/2”.

Shelf Clock, Circa 1825, 10 1/2″ original painted wood dial with minor fading & some retouching, 30-hour, wood movement, pillar & scroll clock in mahogany with urn finials & high arched bracket base, similar clock listed in “Two Hundred Years of American Clocks & Watches” by Chris Bailey #145, page 133, repairs to original top, bottom correct replacement, restored lower reverse painted tablet, movement complete needing adjustment and minor repairs. American Porter & Carter, Otis Mass. Sorry, we could not fit the correct spelling of these guy in the title. They were from New England so I thought I would spell it phonically… the way they would have said it if they were alive today. Shelf Clock, Circa 1836, 9″ painted wood dial, original condition, minor scuffing, 30-hour, wood movement, super original dial untouched condition, case refinished mahogany with carved acanthus leaf 1/2 columns, carved pineapple finials & carved eagle cornice, old mirror glass door, very good working condition with normal wear. Height 33″.

Diminutive ” Bronzed Looking Glass”, Circa 1830, 10″ nice hand painted dial, 30-hour, wood works movement, unusual small size case, quite collectible, some loss to stenciling & cornice capital, mirror replaced, otherwise very good working condition with normal wear.
