Seth Thomas Office Double Dial Calendar No. 5 Clock. 14 in. painted metal dials, time dial signed with Seth Thomas trade mark, proper hands and sub seconds dial; proper brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed with Seth Thomas trade mark, has pyramidal plates, Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, iron side weight and perpetual lower calendar mechanism with original barrels and labels. In a carved oak case with gothic design, pierced trefoil finials, turned columns and carved lower bracket with glass panel exposing the swinging pendulum. Case has a dry original finish, time dial has some minor touchups, calendar dial has overpainting in the center and around the edge (numbers are untouched), oak pendulum stick is repaired just below the crutch escutcheon; movement is missing the gear, post and snail parts for the calendar mechanism, calendar mechanism is functional but not currently attached to the movement, original lock & key. 48 in. high x 24 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 58 lbs.
