2.) Seth Thomas Walnut Tambour Mantle Clock: 8 day time and hour and half hour gong strike; 5″ marked metal dial; marked movement; directions inside back door; convex glass; has pendulum and key. (Not running, but gongs; dial scraped; needs cleaned; back door does not want to stay shut.) 9 1/4″ x 13 5/8″

Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Connecticut painted cherry tall case clock, early 19th c., having a broken arch bonnet encasing a thirty-hour painted wood dial movement, over a waist with quarter columns over a base with a scrolled apron, 85” h. Provenance: Mary Page, Warner, New Hampshire.

Crack in base panel. Several losses to front edge of base panel. Nice old surface.

Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, the scroll-top case with three brass urn finials, freestanding columns flanking the painted wooden dial with Arabic numerals, raised gilt spandrels and center wreath, reverse-painted lower glass depicting Helen of Troy with small aperture and gold leaf border, printed maker’s label inside stating in part, Clocks made and sold by Seth Thomas, thirty-hour time and strike wooden movement with pendulum bob and two weights, ht. 30 1/2 in.

SETH THOMAS, PLYMOUTH, CONNECTICUT POPLAR TALL-CASE CLOCK, 30-hour wooden works with painted wooden dial signed “S. THOMAS PLYMOUTH”, hood featuring a broken-arch pediment with carved rosettes, center finial and front columns; case featuring an arched-head waist door, chamfered corners and scrolled skirt; raised on simple cut-out feet. Older dark varnished surface. With pendulum and tin-cased weights. Early 19th century. 91″ H, 16 3/4″ WOA.
Provenance: Property of a Valley of Virginia collector.

Very good condition, repairs to back boards, dial with flaking to paint, unknown working condition.

Having a flat cresting, painted square face with floral corners, white ground with Roman numeral chapter ring, striking movement, twin slender turned columns to each side, vase of flowers eglomise panel below, flush base.
