Seth Thomas City Series – Beloit. 6 in. metal dial (replaced) with black Roman hour numerals, blued spade hands; spring driven movement No. 5 7/8, signed – S. Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A. – fancy brass lyre shaped plates, count wheel strike mechanism, blued coiled gong with silvered mounting bracket, silvered and damascene pendulum bob. Walnut case has a carved crest with center rosette, burled panels in the front teardrop finials on the sides and turned candle stands on the front; reverse gilt decorated door glass. Very rare model. 22.5 in high x 14 in. wide.
