Canadian. 1930s. Walnut veneer. The Chester model was one of the last produced by the company. The Chester was found with variations to the dial. This features a two tone dial and chromed bezel and art deco handset. Paper inside the access door. Movement is stamped. Original finish. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 9.5"H X 13.25"W X 6"D.

Two-tone silvered dial exhibits light oxidation, mostly in the upper outer chapter. Mechanism complete with pendulum assembly and winding key. Walnut case finish exhibits fine uniform craze.

Features early “Fleur de lis” hands. Movement stamped, “Pequegnat Clock Co., Berlin, Ont.” Dial signed, “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Berlin, Canada” on lower quarter. 7″ x 15.75″ x 10.75″. Scattered active flaking to the painted tin dial. Replaced hand screw. Refinished oak case. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

This example features composite trim used by Pequegnat during the metal shortages of WWI. Dial signed, “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Canada”. A partial paper label on the floor of the interior marked “Barrie Mantel Clock The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Berlin, Canada”. 7″ x 13.5″ x 10.75″. Quarter sawn oak case in original finish. Polished brass bezel. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

Seth Thomas City Clock  Chester. 5 in. paper dial with black Arabic hour numbers, black pierced diamond hands, brass bezel and domical door glass; 8 day spring driven movement No. 3 5/8, signed – S. Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A.  has pierced brass plates, count wheel half hour strike mechanism, and coiled gong and round iron pendulum bob with letter S. Oak case with carved crest and finial, turned half columns and carvings on the case front with rosette below the door, paper label on the back. This is an “A-List” clock. 16.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
