Circa 1895, an original E. Howard #89 Wall Clock. Excellent overall condition, including the original dial that has been repainted over the years. Exquisite hand carved etched wooden case that perfectly accents the eye catching finials on all four corners. Approximately 58" x 19" x 11". Starts up but does not keep proper time. See Photos

E. Howard No. 28 Marble Front Wall Regulator. 14 in. dial has a 12.5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and red Arabic 5 minute markers outside, pierced black hands and dial signed E. Howard & Co. Boston. 8 day brass weight driven movement is signed E. Howard & Co. Boston, has brass pendulum bob with gilt wood stick, U-shaped lead weight and ebonized wood weight baffle. Marble front case has reverse painted throat glass with black background and gilt leaf borders and stars. Has a repair to the marble dial at 9 oÂclock. 30 in. high x 14 in. wide.

Howard & Co., Boston” with black Roman hour numerals and blued spade hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only No. 70 movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston” has an ebonized wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob and solid brass pulley with No. 70 iron weight . In a walnut No. 70 wall hanging case with original reverse painted and gold leaf lower tablet. Refinished, replaced pulley, repaired weight damage at the base, minor touchup paint around dial holes; running. 32″ high x 15.5″ wide x 4.75″ deep. Weight: 21.5 lbs.

Howard & Co. Boston  70; black painted iron No. 70 weight, brass pulley, brass pendulum bob with wood stick, weight baffle and lock-down hardware. Oak case with original reverse painted lower tablet. Howard & Co., Boston” with long silvered wooden pendulum stick, silvered damascened bob, lockdown hardware on the wooden weight baffle, brass pulley and No. 2 iron weight. Damaskeened pendulum bob with wood stick. In a refinished oak case with carved crest, turned finials, carved frieze and corner spandrels around the dial and turned teardrop finials at the base. Howard & Co., Boston”, has black Roman hour numerals and black spade hands; brass weight driven time only No 5 movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston”, has a long wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, and good No.70 iron weight with brass pulley, the wood weight baffle is missing. In a refinished walnut case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting, slight loss to the gold leaf border. Seat board is a replacement. Movement is running. Dimensions: 30 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 21.95 lbs.
