Description

Waterbury Calendar No. 40 Double Dial Shelf Clock. Original 6 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, replaced minute hand and signed Waterbury Clock Co.; brass spring driven movement has an half hour countwheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong and a brass “Indicator” style pendulum. Original 6 in. painted lower calendar dial with black 31 date numbers, aperture cutouts exposing the month & day cylinders and signed Waterbury Clock Co.; good lower calendar mechanism in working condition and original labels. Oak case has a carved crest with turned finial, carved side corbels and spiral turned half columns on the door; paper labels on the back of the case, has an enhanced finish. 24 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
