Chelsea Mahogany Lyre Banjo Clock. Original 7 in. painted metal dial signed ÂWebb C. Ball Co., ClevelandÂ, has black hour numbers & blued spade hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A., numbered 93117, has a wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob, brass pulley & lead weight. In a mahogany lyre banjo style case with wood bezel, convex glass, turned wood bezel, scrolling lyre shaped throat frame with reverse painted scenic glass panel having mother of pearl highlights as is the matching lower tablet. Reverse painting on the glss has some touchup, the tab at the top of the throat has split corners at the screw holes, case has original finish and is in good condition. 38 in. high x 11 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep.

Inlaid Mahogany Boston Style Lyre Banjo Clock. 7 in. Painted metal dial (repainted), has black Roman hour numerals and original black hands; weight driven brass movement has recoil escapement, iron weight, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. Mahogany banjo clock case has lyre shaped throat with a leaf carved border and satinwood inlaid panel, lower door as beveled trim, inlay and an oval viewing glass, nice fluted bracket with teardrop finial; good original finish and very good condition, missing top finial. 36 in. high

Elmer O. Stennes Lyre Banjo Clock. 7.5 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, dial signed Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass, typical pierced hands and brass bezel; typical brass 8 day, weight driven time only Kilbourn & Proctor Inc. movement has steel pendulum rod with brass bob, lead weight and painted red weight baffle. Carved mahogany case has a leaf carved finial, lyre shaped throat with scrolling leaf carvings, reverse painted throat glass with gilt cornucopias on a white background, leaf carved bracket with teardrop final. In very good condition and original finish, replaced dial. 41 in. high

An American 20th century 25″ tall wall clock in the form of a classic lyre surmounted by a round white dial. These chime clocks, manufactured by New Haven, featured the Westminster chimes with a chime/silent device on the dial.

French Lyre Mantle Clock. 4 in. porcelain dial signed ÂBalthazar, a Paris has black hour numbers and 5 minute numbers with a floral garland border, pierced filigree gilt hands and hinged door bezel with beveled crystal; typical brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂVincenti & Cie & ÂS&H ParisÂ, has a half hour strike on a bell, matching pendulum number Â157Â. In a gilt spelter lyre shaped case with eagle head arms, hanging garland, acanthus filigree and a white marble base; signed with ÂFabrication Francaise, Paris foundry mark, in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs, no chips or cracks in the marble, no hairlines in the dial and a nice clean original finish. 17.5 in. high x 6 in. wide x 6 in. deep. Weight: 15.5 lbs.
