An early 20th century New Haven “Abbey” model Mantle clock. Three train 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with Westminster chimes and Silvered dial. Walnut case with arched top and Gothic spires resembles a radio from the period. Refinished with minor wear, dial discoloration. 15 1/2″ high. ESTIMATE $150-250

Description

In mahogany with original finish in Gothic style with carved architectural details, silvered brass dial marked “The New Haven Clock Co. U.S.A.”. Brass time, strike and Westminster chimes spring driven movement with patent dates on movement, with original key and pendulum, 15.5 x 10.3 x 6.75”.

Condition

Broken spring. Mr. Vallee had most of his clocks in running order but Forsythes’ does not guarantee working condition on any clocks or watches.
