Late 19th century French gilt bronze mantel clock, modeled as the god Mercury (Hermes) above the case with acanthus details, classical motifs of sword-form caduceus and crossed torch motifs with pendulum, lacking key. [15" H x 4 3/4" W x 5" D]. Small areas of oxidation, some scuffs and wear.

BREVETE’, the alabaster case surmounted by a seated artist, over inverted breakfront body on toupie feet, 12.5″ (32cm) high, on original giltwood base, enonised plinth and glass dome
