Description
GERMAN “HICKORY DICKORY DOCK” TIME PIECE. The wood cased clock having gilt metal vertical hour numbers with white figural mouse ascending. Each hour with graduated gilt lines dividing the hour into five minute intervals with the nose of the mouse proclaiming the time. Key wound & set. Height 24 1/2 in., width 6 5/8 in. Pat. dated 1910. “The Mouse ran up the clock”; the clock made by the German Horolovar Co.
Condition
Clock reads “Dickory Dickory Dock”. (not “Hickory…). Double sided key included. Very thin vertical cracks/lines running with the wood grain on the front of the clock. Has not been tested to keep time, does tick/run when wound.
