(The case looks repainted and the clock is not working. The paper dial with cutout brass cover is stained. Paint on the feet is worn.)

Gilbert Amphion Walnut Mantle Clock: 8 day time with gong strike, black 6″ dial with gold Roman numerals, plus alarm. In a walnut case with cut glass mirror panels. The pendulum’s back is marked F.K. Kroeber, the March patent failed to add the date. The case is in excellent condition with no problems. A key is with this clock.
(The clock is running, the strike spring is wound tight and not working.)

(Not running. Dial shows wear and is discolored; seems to be a small piece missing on inside of door frame on each side; small wood split at 10 to front edge; small brace pieces on back look replaced.)

Gilbert ÂElberon Calendar Mantle Clock. 8 in. paper dial has black Roman hour numerals and black hands, pierced brass spring driven movement with half hour count wheel strike mechanism and coiled gong, signed Wm. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn. USA. Reverse painted door glass is black with a group of 3 pheasants nesting in the grass, has gilt borders around 3 open apertures exposing the month, date and day on 3 rotating discs of the calendar movement attached to the back of the door. In an oak case with turned finials, spiral turned bars along the frieze, spiral turned columns on the sides with back corbels and beaded border on the door frame. In good condition and enhanced original finish, original door glass, dial, calendar discs, original paper labels are excellent and timepiece & calendar are in running condition. 31 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

(The dial is a replacement. The strike is slow to activate, its spring is wound tight. The wood finish is original and scuffed up.)
