Walnut Gilbert “Altai” Mantle Clock
Description
Walnut Gilbert “Altai” Mantle Clock: 8 day strike, gong only; paper on tin dial; cup bell and spring gong. Paper label on the back. Has original gong, no key.
(Not running. Dial shows wear and is discolored; seems to be a small piece missing on inside of door frame on each side; small wood split at 10 to front edge; small brace pieces on back look replaced.)

Gilbert “Altai” Mantle Clock: 8 day time with half hour gong strike, missing alarm and with a 6″ New Haven dial. The case is oak, with partial label on back. With key.
(A large hole is in the case’s backboard, from where the alarm’s bell was removed. The dial has darkened and has visible rust.)

Altai Gilbert Walnut Clock
Description
On the ornate pendulum with what appears to be a thermometer having an acorn adjustment and oak leaves, Patent date on the back is showing Oct. 30, 1882, old if not original finish, close to if not mint condition to the Walnut case. The original tablet shows a crane in cat tails, a peacock on a staircase wall and the angled sides are all intact. 20″ tall by 13″ wide.
