A late 19th century No. 8 floor model jeweler’s regulator by the William L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted, CT. 8-day weight driven time only movement with sweep seconds hand and pin-wheel escapement, compensating pendulum and a glass dial with Brass bezel. Mahogany case with pediment top and carved Sphinx Mask, over a single long door with carved dial surround on a squat base with paneled detail and molded bracket feet. Original “Cherry” finish with some wear, restored dial surround, running when cataloged. 105″ High overall.
