Having a molded crown above glazed upper door opening to clock dial above lower case having nicely paneled sides and front all resting on a charmingly shaped lower case flaring out into the foot. Louis XV provincial oak Morbier clock circa third quarter 18th century, the tall case with shell and rocaille carved details, the enameled face with repousse brass frame, Roman numerals and two wind holes, with pendulum and weight. [88 1/2" H x 22 1/2" W]. Age cracks, stains, marks, wear, glass panes probably later.
