French Spelter Figural Light House S. Marti Clock: with a fisherman ready to throw a life preserver next to it. The dial is 3 1/2″ and has a time and strike movement. Marked S.H. Paris, 1642, 41-4 and Samuel Marti. Title tag on the marble base wording, HARD! COURAGE! Cheer-up! Pluck up! by C. Mouflier.
(Clock may have the wrong pendulum, there is no room for it to swing.)

Standing metal figure of a girl, wearing loose garments and holding up the gridiron pendulum in her right hand which has the 8 day, spring driven movement signed with Guillemet ÂGLTÂ mark and numbered 9045, movement is contained in the cylinder at the top, behind the dial. Porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers outside and original blued hands; pendulum swings on a cross suspension below the dial. Clock is in good running condition. 23 in. high.
