Early French Bronze & Marble Shelf Clock w/Musical Theme: the seated figure has horns, whistle and tamborine beside him. The brass 3 3/4″ dial is marked Canchy A. Paris. The time and bell striking movement is marked P.F.E. Metla and has a silk string suspension and pin wheel escapement. The base is tan marble and bronze.
(There is no glass front or back cover; may never have had them.)

French Bronze and Marble Lady & Turtle Clock with a woman kneeling down and hiding a turtle, 8 day time and strike, spring driven 5″ porcelain open dial with a heavily decorated bronze bezel and molding around case, marble is caramel with some white and gray. Bronze woman and turtle are made in two pieces, her upright leg is a separate casting. The turtle can only be seen from behind and she has disrobed herself to help hide the turtle while trying to hide her breast. All the bronze is original great patina with no signature found on bronze or movement.
(The rear bezel has no glass.)

French Gilt Bronze Silk String Clock w/Lady: The unnamed movement strikes on a bell for the hour and 1/2 hour. A well dressed woman on a rock like mound holds a box on her lap and a tassel in her raised hand. A fancy decoration is applied to the case front. The trim is acanthus leaf and floral.
