English. 1850s. Mahogany veneer inlaid with brass. Features a high quality solid brass movement with a single train fusee. Refinished dial marked, "A. Willard, Boston" (Aaron). Refinished. Some veneer on the front upper left corner of the veneer is lifting. Some of the banding that surrounds the grills on each side, has shrunk. Upper right edge at the top is loose and tender. Dial is signed "A. Willard Boston", but the movement is not made by Willard. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 17.25"H X 11.75"W X 6.25"D.
