E.N. Welch Mfg. Co., Forestville, Conn., "Damrosch", double dial calendar hanging clock, walnut case, paper on metal dial, maltese hands, 8 day, spring driven brass movement with Daniel Jackson Gale calendar. Welch manufactured Gale's patent calendar clocks from 1873 through 1893.

Welch ÂDamrosch Double Dial Gales Patent Calendar Wall Clock. 8 in. paper dial with black Roman hour numerals, pierced hands, 8 in. lower calendar dial with 31 date outer ring and sub-dials for day and month, GaleÂs Patented perpetual lower calendar mechanism in good working condition; brass spring driven 8 day time only movement is signed E.N. Welch Mfg. Co., long drop pendulum has an ebonized wood stick and brass covered bob which is visible below the calendar mechanism. In a walnut case with carved crest, pierced carved corbels and skirt in the base; good original finish, replaced time dial, door has replaced old glass. 41 in. high x 15 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
