Chinese Double Fusee Shelf Clock: time and bell striking. 6″ porcelain dial with engraved front plate bearing scenes of the mythical Foo dog. The mahogany case’s front has inlaid shell designs and is made in 2 parts, also on a not original platform.
(Not running; needs fixed, runs steadily until unwound. Dial is fractured.)

Antique Chinese Double Fusee Clock and Shelf: The back plate has an 8 character mark on it – engraved in 3 lines with a border. There are 2 bells, of different sizes, each with its’ own hammer. They both strike once for the 1/4 hour, twice for the 1/2 hour and three times for the 3/4 hour. On the hour, a single bell strikes the appropriate number of times. There is a porcelain dial with fancy hour and minute hands plus a seconds hand. The brass plate framing the dial is all hand engraved with a key border, scrolling leaves and what may be bats. There are also 3 characters engraved directly above the dial. Further above the dial, set in at an angle, are 2 silver colored pieces like flags with a sun on them. In a 2 piece mahogany case and base, the clock is running and striking at this time.
(The dial has lots of black specks from the production process.)
Dial – 7 1/2″ Diameter; Case – 19 3/8″ Tall x 10 3/8″ Deep. This all sits on another mahogany base with a swivel platform on it. That piece is 6″ Tall x 14 3/4″ Wide x 11 1/2″ Deep

Chinese Double Fusee Mantle Clock. 7 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals and Arabic 5 minute markers, fancy pierced hands and sweep seconds hand, dial is centered in a fancy decorated brass plate with Chinese markings. Large brass double fusee movement has verge & crown wheel escapement, drop strike with bell, has good fusee chains and is in good running condition; movement is signed with Chinese characters. In a fancy teak wood case with mother of pear inlaid borders on the sliding front door, has scrolling carved corbels and feet on the base with inset mirrors. 20 in. high x 13.5 in. wide x 10.5 in. deep

Chinese Bracket Clock, Double Fusee: the engraved brass faceplate has leaf, bat, floral and dragon heads, along with 3 characters. It surrounds a 7 1/2″ porcelain dial. The brass back plate has 3 different characters engraved on it. Time and bell striking. The case looks like rosewood. Circa 1870’s.
(The clock is ticking, but the minute hand floats, so the strike could not be tested. The dial has a couple hairlines. The front glass is cracked.)
