VINTAGE CHELSEA TAMBOUR NO. 5 MODEL CLOCK CASE, heavy brass, silvered dial lettered “Chelsea Clock Co./Boston, U.S.A.”. Now fitted with an electric movement. Circa 1922. 11 1/2″ H, 20 1/2″ L.

Tambour No. 5 Brass Mantel Clock by Chelsea
Description
Early 20th century. With pair of matching candlesticks. Clock case and candlesticks are heavy cast brass. Clock is 11 1/2″ x 21 1/2″ x 5 1/4″; with 6 1/2″ dial. Strikes on hour and half-hour. With eight-day lever movement. As seen in Vol. 2 of “American Clocks” by Tran Du Ly (1991), pg. 79. Striking mechanism works. Clock does not wind. Running condition not guaranteed. Candlesticks are 10″ H.
