Chelsea Ship’s Bell Desk Clock w/ Barometer. 5 in. silvered dial signed “Chelsea Ship’s Bell” with black incised hour numbers, open moon hands and chime/silent switch; typical 8 day brass spring driven movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA” and numbered 801157, with lever escapement, has ship’s bell strike on a coiled gong. Barometer has a 3.5 in. dial signed Chelsea w/ open center, black incised numbers measuring barometric pressure in inches, centimeters and millibars. Both are in forged brass ships helm cases with hinged door bezels, long base standing on spherical brass feet and gilt case finish. In running condition, balance is replaced, clock strikes, with some surface tarnishing and wear to the finish. 8 in. high x 14 in. wide x 3 in. deep.

Chelsea Ship’s Bell Clock and Holosteric Barometer, Chelsea Clock Company, c. 1909, the clock with 8-in. silvered brass dial marked by retailer Riggs & Bro., Philada., and Ship’s Bell, moon hands, and hinged front bezel, eight-day, time and ship’s bell strike, lever-escapement movement, overall dia. 10 1/2 in.; with an associated Holosteric 8-in. silvered dial barometer marked HNPB, Centigrade and Fahrenheit thermometers all on a mahogany mounting board, ht. 23 in.

Welsh’s Sons, New York” and “Chelsea, Ship’s Bell”, black hour numbers and blued open moon hands; quality gilt brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA, 164751”, lever escapement and rack & snail ship’s bell strike on a coiled gong, in nice condition, running and striking. Holosteric barometer and thermometer has a 4 in. silvered dial. 7.25 in. high x 11.75 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep. Weight: 17.5 lbs.
