Birge Peck & Co 8 Day Weight Driven Clock, wood dial, weights and pendulum bob. Empire mahogany case with original finish, glass and tablets with scenery of Rome Italy. There is a large label inside. Circa. 1850’s. (Tablets have some minor paint flaking, wood dial has a pitted area and the case is a little scuffed.)

Beautiful antique Birge, Peck & Co. Double Decker mahogany shelf clock, Bristol, CT. Early brass works 8 day, weight driven clock, with raised carved splat, fruit bowl with gold gilt, original hand painted dial, reverse painted center glass reads “Franklin College, Athens, George”, reverse painted bottom glass with eagle and fruit. Interior label “Extra Eight Day Rolling Pinion Steel Pivot Brass Clocks; Made and Sold by Birge, Peck & Co., Bristol, CT. “, has additional label, “Myers Clock Shop, 539 New St., Spring City, PA.” Burled and gold gilt half columns, measures approx. 33 1/2″ tall x 16″ wide x 5″ deep.

A triple deck shelf clock with two original “feather” style reverse painted tablets attributed to John Fenn. A weight driven clock with gilded and faux painted half columns flanking the triple glazed front and standing on turned feet. The eight day strap brass movement by Birge and Peck. [finials added at later date.]
