Musical Clock w/Silk String Suspension: there is a 10 3/4″ cylinder in the case’s base. The unmarked movement strikes a bell every quarter hour, the music on the 3/4 hour mark. The music box is always in the play position, the on/off switch seems to not work. A notched disc is connected to the movement that releases a hammer to start the music box. It is working, but does not activate the cylinder because the music box is always unwound. The case has several types of metal inlay on the front, including silver, copper and brass plus ivory like material.
(The clock is working, its hour hand on the 5″ alabaster dial floats free. The bell strike works, but its spring is wound tight.)
22 1/4″ x 15 3/4″

Silk String Pillar Clock w/Cylinder Music Box: the time and double gong striking movement is unmarked. The brass side of the music box is marked A. Olbrichinwien. The gongs sound at every quarter hour, the music box activates when a string attached to the brass piece in the movement is lifted. It works by hand, but not through the movement. The cylinder is 5 3/4″-6″ long. The case is ebonized wood with white alabaster or onyx pillars. With 5″ silvered metal and textured brass dial.
(The wood finish shows some wear.)
21″ tall and running at this time
