An antique French Empire style bronze and marble clock. A creamy marble body and base, with an elegant cast gilt bronze figure depicting a Neoclassical style female figure, incising images onto an amphora. Roman numerals against ornate repousse clock face, having clock makers name around bezel, and at interior movement and mechanism E GAUTIER & J ALBINET PARIS.

3 Pc Bronze, Champleve, & Brown Marble French Clock Set, 3 1-2" porcelain dial marked J. MEYER, 31.33. B'd St. Martin, PARIS (mark worn), movement by Vincente & Cie, the body enclosed with beveled glass panels, the frame and brown marble body set with panels of enameled champlev�, with a bronze patinated figure of a lute player and young woman at top, runs and strikes when wound, with 2 bronze, champlev�, and brown marble side urns. The clock 21 1/2" tall, the garniture 16" tall. One of the garniture is missing a bowed champlev� panel from the base. A very fine example of a Grand Tour relic from the late 19th c!!!!!
