This Ansonia is a top of the line 1890s parlor clock, with bronzed bust on the French sash, gilt and enameled round dial and silver stenciled tablet. The eight day gong strike with two jar pendulum. The lower case with burl walnut veneer. Retains 80% of old label to rear. Missing drawer. 23″H x 15.5″W x 5.5″D, Circa – 1893.

The high end Ansonia parlor with carved wood urn over a bust of Columbia, extra fancy heavy brass beauty ring around the double sunk dial with original paper inserts, double vial pendulum, double decorative carvings front and back, a drawer in the base, 8 day time and strike, 25 x 15.5 x 5.5 inches overall. Untouched very dark old alligatored finish near black, appears to be walnut. Good running condition. Running condition is not guaranteed once the clock is moved.

Original 6 in. paper dial has black Roman hour numeral, signed with Ansonia trade mark, black spade hands, and heavy gilt bronze bezel with leaf decoration and shell drop crest design; brass 8 day time only spring driven movement has an hour countwheel strike on a single bell and a brass gridiron pendulum with cut glass bob. Walnut case has an arched crest with an urn over a maidens head pediment and fancy side scroll work, scrolled filigree corbels and rounded corners on the base with a center drawer. In good condition and original finish, missing one of the handles on the urn. 24.5 in. high x 14 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
