(The dial has some small chips at the left key slot. The sword blade has been reattached, the sword’s scabbard is missing.)

Ansonia Insult Figural Mantel Clock

Description

American, ca 1890s. An Ansonia gilt metal figural mantel clock, Insult model, eight-day time and strike, spelter figure and clock case with a “Japanese” bronze finish (probably original); ht. 22, wd. 19 in.  

Condition

Not running but with original movement which appears to be complete. Replaced pendulum. Losses to figure (helmet, sword, dagger damaged or missing). Hairline crack to dial.
