A Late 19th Century Ansonia “Don Caesar” Figural Mantle Clock. Eight day time and strike movement with open escapement, and enameled Porcelain dial. Cast metal case and Figure of Don Caesar, shown drawing his sword, all atop an Ebonized iron base. Wear to the metal, the feather in Don Caesar’s hat has been reattached. 19 1/2″ wide x 22″ high. Ansonia Figural Don Caesar Mantle Clock. Standing gilt figure of Don Caesar drawing his sword; to the right is a a gilt clock tower with relief design, hinged side handles and finial top. 4.5 in. inset porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt hands and exposed Brocot escapement; 8 day, spring driven movement signed Ansonia Clock Co. strikes on a coiled gong. 22 in. high x 19 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Hat feather is broken.
