Ansonia Double Statue Music Poetry Clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven, 5″ porcelain dial and with a open escapement.
(Finish has some bluish corrosion in some areas, the base has been repainted, the urn has been broke et the stem and the tip of the minute hand has been broken off.)

Double statue mantle clock circa 1894, double sunk enamel dial with exposed escapement, 20.75 inches high, tima and strike movement signed Ansonia. One statue has been partially refinished, otherwise very good with no damage or repairs noting a chip and line to the dial. No pendulum bob.

Ansonia “Poetry” Statue Clock: black iron base; bronzed statue of a girl holding a book; double sunk porcelain dial with open escapement and marked Ansonia Clock Co. Patented; 8 day signed movement; time and strike; ornate hands and beveled glass; has pendulum. Not tested for running condition.
(There are minor dents and chips on the lacquer finish.)
