Ansonia “Antique Hanging” Oak Wall Clock. Fancy black hands, repousse brass dial with applied roman numerals; signed Ansonia weight driven time and strike movement; strikes on a single coiled gong, count wheel strike mechanism, has good chains, original weights and pendulum. Beautiful oak case with various applied mounts; back panel shows a maiden and a cherub, the crest has a maiden and 2 putti studying; complete with turned finials. This clock is in superior original finish and condition, no broken, missing or repaired parts, movement is very clean. 45″W x 16.5″H x 7.5″D. Estimated Value$3,500 – 5,000.

A good turn of the century Ansonia “Antique Hanging” Model wall clock. Oak case with extensive cast brass applied detail with Classical motifs, pediment top with classical frieze flanked by a pair of turned finials with brass arms above a fancy embossed brass dial with porcelain Roman numerals, over an open well with cast pendulum and back plaque, brass “Twist” weight shells and a brass mounted scalloped base. 8 day weight driven time and strike movement with Cathedral gong. Older refinishing with good color, running when cataloged. 46 1/2″ high overall. ESTIMATE $4,000-6,000
